Since 1974, the Placage au Chrome division has mastered the art of hard chrome plating, also called industrial chrome. Thanks to the quality of our achievements and the incomparable service of our team, through innovation we have become a true reference for the most demanding customers.

Our job is to increase the lifespan of your parts and thus reduce the number of stoppages in your production.

At Platage au Chrome, uncompromising quality truly means saving time and money for our customers across Eastern Canada.

  • High resistance to abrasion which increases the lifespan of your components
  • Hardness 65 to 70 HRC (850 to 1000 Hv)
  • Capacity up to 47 feet in length and Ø57” (15,850 and Ø1450mm)

Hard chrome is an electrolytic deposit deposited directly on steel of different alloys and bronze depending on the desired thickness. The techniques we use considerably increase the lifespan of your components and ensure better resistance to abrasion. The application of chrome and an adequate surface finish reduce the coefficient of friction and reduce adhesion without causing deformation to your parts.

We have 8 plating basins including a large capacity basin allowing us to process parts up to 47 ft in length and 57'' in diameter.

Our complete range of laboratory-developed coatings will meet the needs of your most demanding applications.
